For most FAHSS programs, students are required to take at least two arts credits. Disciplines that would count as an art would be:

- General Art (GART)
- Languages (FREN/GRMN/INCS/ITLN/SPAN)
- Modern Art (MACS)
- Music (MUSC)
- Philosophy (PHIL)
- Visual Art (VSAR)
