Lake Shift 2025 Writing Retreat for PhD students - apply by March 31st

The Lake Shift is an annual thesis writing retreat for doctoral students from Ontario universities that started in 2016. The retreat takes place at the Queen’s University Biology Station (QUBS) on Lake Opinicon, a 50-minute drive north of Kingston and in a scenic location.

The University of Windsor has committed 5 spots for doctoral students. The University of Windsor will cover the cost of the retreat ($700) and up to $300 toward travel expenses, upon submission of receipts, for a maximum of 5 students. If more than 5 applications are received, selection will be made by the Graduate Executive Committee in the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

1)            Planning a Fall 2025 defence

2)            Must be registered full-time in Summer 2025

3)            Must provide confirmation from your advisor that data collective and data analysis is complete, and a Fall 2025 defence is planned
