PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Automobility & Intellectual Property (IP) Program Coordinator will develop, coordinate, and deliver programs and initiatives related to an automobility IP (intellectual property) hub and startup programs in the Windsor-Essex region. The Program Coordinator will  support students, innovators and entrepreneurs working in this automobility and related sectors.  


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or related field
  • Two (2) years demonstrated experience in project management, program development and coordination
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship programs, intellectual property, lean startup methodology and business model canvas
  • Demonstrated understanding of micro-credentialled program design
  • Analytical and interpretive skills; experience in data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, planning and successfully organizing a variety of events (i.e., workshops)
  • Experience working directly with students and understanding of university and college environments
  • Knowledge of automobility and cyber security sectors
  • Strong technical skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a creative mind
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to travel within Canada and internationally

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge in prototype development technology
  • Knowledge of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Windsor-Essex
Rate of Pay: 
Classification "V" per Schedule A of the Collective Agreement
