Dr. Millar joined the Department of Kinesiology in July 2017 in the area of Sport Management. She previously held a faculty position at Niagara University in Lewiston, New York. Dr. Millar earned her PhD in Sport Management in 2015 from Western University and holds a Master of Arts in Applied Health Science (Sport Management) from Brock University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Millar’s research focuses on the management and development of non-profit and voluntary sport, with a specific focus on understanding the process of capacity building within community sport and recreation organizations, workforce development throughout the non-profit sport sector, and community sport organizations as agents in policy implementation.
