The Thin Line: Occupational Stress Workshop (Second Offering)

Wednesday, February 10, 2021 - 13:00 to 16:00

As a law student, you have chosen a career to help individuals through some of their most difficult challenges. The Thin Line: Occupational Stress Workshop will provide you with an opportunity to understand the impact this work may have on you and put structures in place to help care for yourself as you begin your practice.

Join us in hearing from Susan Alexander, MSW, RSW about why and how we are impacted by Occupational Stress. The half-day workshop addresses the physiological reaction to trauma and provides suggestions for managing our stress response system. The workshop will focus on the unique needs of law and social work students engaged in clinical and experiential learning, attending school and living through a pandemic simultaneously.

Susan provides practical advice, examples of daily coping skills and awareness of reactions to stressful events in order to prevent occupational stress, now and in your future careers.
