Windsor Law Connects Downtown Tour

Wednesday, September 15, 2021 - 18:30 to 21:30

Want to learn more about Windsor and especially downtown? Have an interest in urban issues? Just looking for a fun night out and a chance to get to know some other members of the Windsor Law community?

The Windsor Law Centre for Cities and the Windsor Law Municipal Law Club, with support from the Downtown Windsor BIA, invite you to join us for a guided tour of downtown Windsor from 6:30-7:45, followed by refreshments on the patio in Maiden Lane.

Learn about downtown Windsor: some of its history, how municipal decisions have affected it over the years, new transformational public and private investments, the University’s 2 faculties downtown, the plans for University Avenue linking main campus to downtown, and the most Instagrammed downtown images (hint: WIFF’s Graffiti Alley).   Hear the inside scoop on the best restaurants and patios to enjoy during your time in Windsor, and more!  And get to know other members of the Windsor Law community at the same time.

The tour will be led by Centre for Cities Director Dr. Anneke Smit, Windsor Ward 3 (Downtown) Councillor Rino Bortolin, and members of the Municipal Law club, joined by several other members of the Windsor Law and Windsor communities along the way.

We will conclude the tour at 7:45 pm on the patio at Maiden Lane where participants are invited to linger and socialize, while enjoying appetizers and refreshments provided by Maiden Lane Wines and Spirits. Food and first drink are included with your registration.
