Exchanges and Letters of Permission

Monday, November 8, 2021 - 17:00

The Windsor Law Student Services Office and the University of Windsor’s Student Exchange Office will host an information session about Exchanges and Visiting Student (Letter of Permission) Opportunities Available for 2022-2023.

Exchanges are typically undertaken in Fall of 3L, with applications due in January of 2L.  If you are a 2L student interested in going on exchange or a 1L student planning ahead, please plan to attend.  Additional information about our Exchange Program, including destinations, can be found online at: http://www.uwindsor.ca/studentexchange/

Letters of Permission (for one semester at an international law school or two semesters at a Canadian law school) are available to students who have completed a minimum of 59 credits at Windsor Law (ie 3L). A Letter of Permission would grant you permission to attend another law school anywhere in the world, earning credits towards your Windsor Law JD.  This competitive program is available on either educational or medical/compassionate grounds.

If you are a single JD student interested in attending another institution, domestically or internationally, as part of your law studies at Windsor Law this session will provide information about the application process, the selection criteria, important dates and deadlines, financial considerations and the host schools available for 2022-2023 by way of Exchange or Letter of  Permission.
