About the Speaker:

Jhonika Hawkins is an essential sports, entertainment, and operational executive whose steadfast expertise is changing the profession's dynamic. A natural enthusiast and service-oriented leader, Jhonika is a teammate who transforms organizations and leads others to victory.

A seasoned sports and entertainment executive, Jhonika, has been a committed team member of the Detroit Pistons organization since 2015. Her career trajectory with the organization speaks to her tenacity, agile capabilities, and strategic initiative. She is known to rise to the occasion and currently serves as the Director of Executive Operations and Team Services.

Beyond Jhonikas' storied career, she believes in the mantra that "to whom much is given, much is required." Thus, Jhonika makes the time to give back to others. She currently serves on the City Year Detroit Associate Board and is a member of the Sterling Heights African American Coalition. She is also a mentor to young ladies in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, youth program. Jhonika is a leader who chooses service first and displays her values through countless operational and event-based activations. She inspires cultural change and embraces authenticity and diversity.

Jhonika earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Oakland University and a Masters of Science in Sports Management from Eastern Michigan University.
