10:20 – 11:00 STUDENT PANEL AND TIME MANAGEMENT (Toldo 100 & 200)Get the inside scoop on what it’s like to be a student in university from upper year students already attending the university. 11:00 – 11:45 STUDENT CAMPUS TOURTake a tour of the campus to see the many resources available! Locate the buildings where some of your classes will be held and get connected with other first year students. 11:45 – 12:45 PROGRAM SUCCESS SESSION (Toldo 100)This is your opportunity to meet professors and advisors from your academic program. Learn about your program, what time management strategies you need to adopt to be successful in your program, the various support services available to you, and what you can do with your degree after graduation. 11:45 – 12:45 QUICK TIMETABLING TIPS (Leonard & Dorothy Neal Education Building 1101)If you haven’t already registered for courses, or if you have any questions pertaining to your course registration, you should attend this session. By meeting with central Academic Advisors you will receive the information that you require to complete your registration. They will assist you in course selection using the “Plan Your Program” and can provide information about how to register for courses via UWinsite Student. |
10:10 – 11:10 SUPPORTER PROGRAM (Toldo 102 & 104)Meet our student leaders and get valuable information about how you can support your student as they commence on their new academic journey. Learn the important differences between high school and university expectations. Understand the financial commitments required to complete a university program. 12:45– 1:30 LUNCH (Chrysler Hall Tower Courtyard)
Reunite with your family members and new friends! Eat lunch and take part in any of the various tour opportunities we have to offer. Have a question about the meal plan? Don’t know where to pick up your UWin ID? Feel free to visit one of the campus service booths or ask any of our staff members in navy blue and gold shirts.
1:30– 2:30 CONNECTING TO EDUCATION (Toldo 100)
For students who have been accepted into Concurrent BA/Bachelor of Education programs, this session will help you navigate your undergraduate degree requirements alongside your Bachelor of Education requirements. All concurrent students that will be teaching grade 7 - 12 need to map out teachables for their first 2 years. Concurrent Psychology, ECE and Education are entering an exciting but very fast paced journey between their degrees and diploma. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be provided an opportunity to tour Residence, Leddy Library, Toldo Lance Centre and/or the School of Dramatic Art Building.
1:30-2:00 NAVIGATING UWINSITE STUDENT (UCC Computer Lab, Lower Level)
Do you need help navigating course registration? Do you have questions about the UWinsite Award profile? Do you need help applying to OSAP? This session will orient you to the various features of UWinsite and offers in-person assistance from Academic Advisors and Financial Aid Specialists.
2:00 – 2:30 FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (Toldo 102)
Learning how to live on a budget for the first time? Not to worry, this session will provide you with many of the strategies you will need to successfully manage your finances as a post-secondary student. Students will also learn about the many scholarships and bursaries our university offers, how OSAP works and all the important dates to remember. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be provided an opportunity to tour Residence, Leddy Library, Toldo Lancer Centre and/or the Jackman School of Dramatic Art Building.

Come pick-up your UWINCARD today from 1-4pm! Please note that government issued photo I.D. is required.

Get your UWindsor campus gear by visiting our Campus Bookstore. This is your opportunity to get a feel for where your textbooks will be available for pick up in September.

LIVING ON/OFF CAMPUS TOUR: This tour takes around 1.5 hours to complete and includes the following stops:
- Leddy Library (10 mins)
- Residence (30-45 mins)
- Toldo Lancer Centre (40 mins)
DRAMA STUDENT TOUR: This tour takes just over an hour to complete and includes the following stops:
- Jackman Dramatic Art Centre/University Players (20 mins)
- Leddy Library (10 mins)
- Residence(30-45 mins)
SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS STUDENT/SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK TOUR: Tours will be offered at 1:45pm, 2:30pm and 3:15pm of the following locations:
- Downtown Armouries Building
- Downtown School of Social Work Building
Students and their supporters may park in the garage at Pitt Street, west of the buildings or Ferry Street, northeast of the buildings in addition to street parking.
Note: You do NOT need to stay for the whole tour! You are welcome to leave/join the tour at any time. If there is anything else you would like to see that is not on this schedule, please ask one of our staff members in the blue and gold shirts!
