2024 Outstanding Scholars Spring Gala!
Join us for an evening of Rustic Academia!

For the first time in the University of Windsor Outstanding Scholars history, we will host a Gala on May 3, 2024, at the Giovanni Caboto Club!

Ticket costs will be:

Parents, Guests, and Faculty $65
Students $45 (including OS graduates currently in medical school and siblings in school)
OS Graduating Class $25 (for students who graduated in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 convocations).

Outstanding OS Candidate (Self-Nominated) 

Awarded to a first-year Outstanding Scholar candidate who has made a positive impact through any or all of the following: research, leadership, academics, and communal service. Decided on by the Awards Committee. (Requires OS Student corroborator and faculty corroborator)

Awarded to an Outstanding Scholar whose research project has created an impact or has revolutionary implications in the Windsor-Essex community or surrounding local communities. Decided on by the Awards Committee. (Requires OS Student corroborator and faculty corroborator if self-nominated)

Outstanding Principal Investigator Award (OS Student Nominated) 

Awarded to a Principal Investigator belonging to any faculty, which has or is pursuing research that will shake the foundation of an industry. To be eligible for this award, the faculty member must be nominated by an Outstanding Scholars Student (2nd year and above). Decided on by the OSSC.

Outstanding Research Mentor Award (OS Student Nominated) 

Awarded to a peer, professor, or colleague who has provided you with mentorship in your research endeavors as an Outstanding Scholar. To be eligible for this award, the mentor must be nominated by an Outstanding Scholars Student (2nd year and above). Decided on by the OSSC.

Outstanding Peer Mentor Award (OS Candidate Nominated) 

Awarded to an OS Peer Mentor who has guided you throughout your journey from a high school student to a University of Windsor Outstanding Scholar through the OS Peer Mentorship Program. An Outstanding Scholars candidate must complete this nomination. Decided on by the Awards Committee.
