Parking at UWindsor


With most classes being delivered on-line for the Fall & Winter semesters and most faculty and staff working remotely, Parking Services will be closing the following parking lots effective November 2, 2020 to help reduce the departments ongoing operating costs.

  • Bridge AA                                            
  • Bridge A
  • Bridge B
  • Alumni
  • Askin
  • Education – north portion of lot
  • Engineering – east portion of lot
  • Stadium

Staff who are required to report to work on campus can continue to park in any of the staff designated parking lots as follows regardless of current lot assignment.

  • ECC
  • Education – south portion of lot
  • Leddy
  • Parking Garage with existing access card only. 

 Students attending campus should utilize the following parking lots below.

  • Bridge A – adjacent to cemetery
  • Clarke
  • Engineering
  • Human Kinetics
  • Music Lot
  • Union

Loading docks and access driveways to all buildings will be maintained for deliveries and drop offs. 

The above closures are temporary and will be closed for the winter season to help with snow removal measures and mitigate maintenance expenses.

The sign below is at all LOTs that the temporary closure affects.  

Please park in alternate locations.


Sale of Parking Permits

The sale of parking permits has been suspended until further notice.

Parking Office - Currently Closed

The Parking Office is currently closed, and all parking transactions suspended until further notice as part of the University of Windsor’s measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  

Emails sent to parking@uwindsor.ca,  will be checked periodically during this time. 

Updates will be provided on this website as we move forward.







All faculty and staff currently in possession of a parking permit, purchased thru payroll deductions have had their deductions suspended commencing April, 2020 until further notice.

For permit holders on bi-weekly payroll, suspension will be reflected on the pay period which represents April 5-16, 2020

For permit holders on semi-monthly payroll, charges for your permit will be refunded for the first pay period of April and suspended starting for the pay ending April 30, 2020.  

All staff and faculty that have annual permits that have been paid in full, will receive a credit for the suspension period of April onwards, this will be applied towards your next year's permit.



All students in possession of a parking permit received a credit for their permit for the month of April, minus any outstanding tickets or fees, as per Parking Services refund policy. 

Student permit holders with an expiration date beyond April 30, 2020 received a credit for the remaining months that your permit was valid. 

The credit appeared on your student account  as at May 15, 2020. 

If there is a credit balance on your student account, the credit can either remain on your student account and be applied to your next semester fees or the credit will be available to request a refund via an electronic transfer process. 



The University of Windsor has over 2,800 parking spaces on campus. Access to these lots is controlled by parking permits, meters and gates during enforcement hours (Every day from 7am to 11pm).
