WECHU confirms another case of COVID on campus Nov. 30

(Windsor, Ontario, November 30, 2020) – The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has confirmed another on-campus case of COVID-19. This latest case is unrelated to previously reported cases. The member of the campus community is self-isolating and all appropriate protocols and cleaning measures have been taken. As with all COVID-19 cases, the WECHU will take the lead on contact tracing. The University continues to work with and support the Health Unit as needed.

(Windsor, Ontario, November 27, 2020) – The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has confirmed another on-campus case of COVID-19. This latest case is unrelated to previously reported cases. The member of the campus community is self-isolating and all appropriate protocols and cleaning measures have been taken. As with all COVID-19 cases, the WECHU will take the lead on contact tracing. The University continues to work with and support the Health Unit as needed.

University of Windsor President issues statement regarding Delta Chi fraternity

(Windsor, Ontario, November 26, 2020)  ­­–  On Wednesday evening I received an email accompanied by messages allegedly exchanged by various members of the Delta Chi fraternity.

Many of the messages shared in this note are disturbing, unacceptable, and entirely incongruent with the values of our school and the work we are doing to create a more inclusive and equitable community at the University of Windsor.

UWindsor Appoints New Chair of the Board of Governors

The University of Windsor is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Allison to a two-year term as Chair of the Board of Governors, effective November 25, 2020. Mr. Allison also serves as the Chair of the Board Investment Committee. Previously, he served as the Board’s First Vice-Chair and Second Vice-Chair, and a member of both the Board Resource Allocation Committee and the Board Executive Committee.

This latest case is unrelated to previously reported cases. The member of the campus community is self-isolating and all appropriate protocols and cleaning measures have been taken.  As with all COVID-19 cases, the WECHU will take the lead on contact tracing. The University continues to work with and support the Health Unit as needed. There is no additional risk to the campus community at this time.
