Fall/Winter 2021-2022

Undergraduate - 1st yr students - coming directly from high school

Students will be assigned to a single room.

Accommodations are guaranteed for first-year students coming directly from high school and who submit a deposit of $475 by the deadline date of June 1, 2021

Applications and deposits received after June 1, 2021, will be assigned based on a first-come-first-serve basis, as well as, availability.

Deposits will be credited to Residence Fees. Our cancellation policy can be viewed at Cancellation/Withdrawals | Residence (uwindsor.ca)

First Year Buildings:

  • Alumni Hall (dedicated first-year floors only)
  • Cartier Hall
  • Laurier Hall (may be assigned to first or beyond first year students)
  • Macdonald Hall (dedicated first-year floors only)  Macdonald Hall will NOT be available for Fall/Winter 2021-2022

Cancellation Information – Fall 2021

  • Students will receive a full refund of their residence deposit and their contract will be cancelled, if they notify resservices@uwindsor.ca before they receive their room assignment by email.
  • Once students receive their room assignment by email, they have up to 7 days to notify resservices@uwindsor.ca of their intent to cancel their residence application and to receive a partial refund of their deposit.  

 

Beyond First Year Students

  • Returning residence students, Graduate, Transfer, Exchange and 2nd-year students or higher who submit their application and a $475 deposit will be assigned based on a first-come-first-serve basis as well as availability
  • Deposits will be credited to Residence Fees

Cancellation Information - Fall 2021

Beyond 1st Year Students

  1. Students who have been assigned to residence, prior to July 1st, 2021, can request to cancel their application and deposit by July 1st, 2021, or within 7 days after they receive their room assignment, whichever comes later, to receive a partial  refund of their deposit and cancel their 8-month contract.
  2. If students have already been assigned to residence and the request for cancellation is after July 1st, 2021, (or 7 days after they receive their room assignment, whichever is later), they will remain in their residence contract unless they are not registered as a University of Windsor student or find a replacement suitable to Residence Services
