Winter-2022

We have closed the winter 2022 application as there are not enough bed spaces to accommodate all the applications. 

Students who do not receive a room assignment will be placed on a waitlist” Students who wish to cancel their application, will need to submit a cancellation form at www.uwindsor.ca/residence under Forms and Documents.


Quicks tips before starting the application process:

  • You'll need to activate your UWinID before you get into the application.  Click here at https://userid.net.uwindsor.ca/m/student_activation_first_time/stdlogin 
  • You'll need your credit card during the application; so have it handy, otherwise you'll be timed out
  • Even if you have a credit on our student account, you have to pay a residence deposit of $475 when applying.  You can use the credit on your account to pay other univeristy fees
  • For the Winter 2022 application, students will not be able to select a building preference in winter, as room assignments are based on availability

Undergraduate – 1st year coming directly from high school

  • Students will be assigned to a single room
  • Deposit of $475 is paid by credit card when completing your application.   Deposits are credited to Residence Fees which will be applied to your student account once you are assigned a residence room.   Our Cancellation policy can be viewed at Cancellations/Withdrawals

First year buildings (students will not be able to select a building preference in winter)

Alumni Hall (dedicated first year floors)

Cartier Hall

Laurier Hall (may be assigned to first year or beyond first year students)

Beyond First Year Students

  • This category includes Returning residence students, Graduate, Transfer, Exchange and 2nd year students or higher.
  • Students will be assigned to a single room
  • Deposit of $475 is paid by credit card when completing your application.   Deposits are credited to Residence Fees which will be applied to your student account once you are assigned a residence room.   Our Cancellation policy can be viewed at Cancellations/Withdrawals

Beyond First Year Buildings (students will not be able to select a building preference in winter)
