Residence Life Team Applications
Contract period: August 2023 to April 2024
Our Residence Life Team consists of Residence Assistants, Community Assistants, Peer Leaders, Desk Assistants and Student Conduct Board Coordinator. We are currently recruiting for Community Assistant (CA) and Resident Assistant (RA) positions. Both the CA and RA position are paid positions that are employed from August to April for each academic year. The CAs & RAs are responsible for community development, social/educational programming, referrals, policy enforcement and the overall wellbeing of the residents. Becoming a CA or RA is a great way to build your leadership skills and provides you with the opportunity to develop transferable skills such as:
- Teamwork
- Communication
- Conflict resolution & mediation
- Emergency intervention and response
- Problem solving
RAs also receive training and certification in the following:
- Safe Talk Certification
- Diversity & Intercultural training
- LGTBQ+ awareness and education
- Responding to Sexual Misconduct Disclosures training
- Leadership development
