Doing so has allowed us to enjoy a successful in-person semester including the return of in-person activities and events that are foundational to the university experience.

Update November 17, 2022 - Feeling sick? Do not come to campus.

The University of Windsor reminds students, faculty, staff and visitors that anyone feeling ill must not attend campus. With cases of respiratory illnesses (COVID-19, influenza, RSV) rising throughout the province, we ask our campus community to stay home when feeling sick.

This includes instances where you may have symptoms which resemble COVID-19, yet receive a negative result from a COVID-19 rapid test. Please, stay home until symptoms have resolved. While potentially not COVID-19 (or a false negative), the illness could be influenza (flu) which is noted by Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore to be "particularly virulent."

Update August 4, 2022 - Message from Residence Services

The University of Windsor requires that anyone living in residence for Fall/Winter 2022-2023 complete a vaccination attestation at www.uwindsor.ca/vaccine prior to Fall move in regardless of vaccination status. At this time, vaccination is not required to live in residence or to attend campus. We encourage all individuals who are able, to get the vaccine or booster when eligible.

As we look forward to the fall semester and residence move in, the health and safety of our students, staff and faculty remains our number one priority. Throughout the pandemic we have continued to implement robust health and safety protocols based on the advice of public health authorities.  The decision to require vaccination attestation follows discussions surrounding the ongoing risks posed by COVID-19, including the concerns of current and future waves by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, the emergence of new variants and current regional vaccination rates.

Attestations will assist with contact tracing and isolation requirements should COVID-19 positive cases appear in residence.  We know that COVID-19 vaccinations are critical to reducing the likelihood of serious illness and help to keep our entire community safe. More information regarding on campus vaccination clinic dates will be posted on this website.
