Purpose:
To recognize individuals or teams of staff who have developed, revised and/or implemented a system, tool, process, initiative, and/or program within their department or across the Faculty that had a positive impact.
Criteria:
The committee will be examining the application packages for evidence of (that include, but are not limited to):
- Impact on research & teaching
- Impact on students, faculty and/or staff
- Impact on service standards
Eligibility:
Full- and part-time permanent Faculty of Science staff. Nominees must not have received this award during the previous 5 years.
Nomination Process:
Nominations may be made by colleagues, students or through self-nomination.
Application packages will include:
- Nomination letter or application detailing the reasons for the submission.
- One letter of support
Application packages should be submitted electronically to:

Review Process:
Application packages will be circulated to the Award Committee electronically for individual review. The committee will then meet to discuss the applications, and reach a decision.
The Award Committee, struck and chaired by the Dean of Science, will consist of Department Heads (or their designates) and two staff members (recipients of the 2 staff awards from the previous year).
Award:
The Award will be given to a maximum of one individual or team each year. Successful applicants will receive an award of $1000, and a certificate that will be presented at the Faculty of Science Spring & Shout event on April 3, 2019.
