Online Survey

The online survey was launched on March 4 and closed on March 20, 2020.

Survey responses:

Eighty-nine (89) responses were recorded. Respondents identified themselves as follows:

  • 46 staff
  • 29 faculty
  • 11 students
  • 4 other

Survey questions:

The survey consisted of the following 8 questions:

  1. What do you see as the benefits associated with the University becoming a smoke-free campus?
  1. What potential challenges do you foresee as the University moves towards becoming a smoke-free campus?
  1. What questions or concerns do you have?
  1. What should the University consider as it develops the Smoke-free Campus Policy and implementation strategies (Enforcement, Public Education, Smoking Cessation Supports)?
  1. What resources should be available for students, faculty, staff to support the transition?
  1. What do you see as the best communication mechanism(s) to enhance awareness among students, faculty and staff about the University becoming a smoke-free campus?
  1. Additional comments?
