Biography
Dr. ADRIAN GUTA is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Windsor. For two decades, he has been involved in HIV, sexual health, and substance use and harm reduction research. Dr. Guta is co-leading a program of research about the impact of the toxic drug supply on people who use drugs, and safer supply programs and decriminalization. He regularly partners with community and clinical partners to design research studies which meet the needs of patients and service users. Dr. Guta’s research is supported by funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, Health Canada, and the Ontario HIV Treatment Network.
