Biography
Kristen Lwin has been working in social services over the past two decades. Kristen has worked in child welfare (Intake, Ongoing services, Children’s services) and with victims and witnesses of intimate partner violence and sexual violence in the criminal justice system. She has also worked in child welfare research and evaluation and as Executive Director of a knowledge translation organization for child welfare organizations across Canada. Kristen has taught the application of policy to practice, research, and engaging families in child welfare practice. Kristen is passionate about developing a strong child welfare curriculum to equip students for effective child welfare practice and understanding how child welfare workers and organizations can strengthen their practice and system to improve the outcomes of children and families served by child welfare.
