What is a graduate student representative?
Departmental decisions that affect you and future students are made by a committee comprised of faculty and student(s). The student(s) is elected annually and represents your voice. If you have an issue you would like brought forward to the committee, please contact your committee representative.
How can I contact my representative?
It's simple: you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and it will be forwarded to the appropriate individual.
Meet the 2020/2021 Student Representatives
Admira Konjic - Council Committee, Graduate Committee and Appointments Committee
My name is Admira Konjic and I am in my 1st year completing my M.A. in Criminology. I also completed my undergrad in Criminology at the University of Windsor and am looking forward to a very exciting virtual year. Interests include soccer (Ronaldinho forever) and reading Foucault!
Hailey Etchen - Council Committee and Renewal Tenure and Promotion Committee
My name is Hailey Etchen and I am excited to be working with the department this year as a student representative. This is my first year in the thesis stream for the MA Criminology program. It feels great to be back at the University of Windsor as I am a recent graduate from the combined honours program of criminology and political science. Some of my major areas of interest include the study of marginalized groups, youth crime, and the growing field of green criminology. I spent most of my undergraduate studies volunteering at the campus pride centre and I hope to be able to find new ways to get involved on campus and in the community this year while staying safe during these times. While being online this year is certainly not what anyone wanted, I am confident that we can still make the best out of this difficult situation and I hope everyone has a great academic year.
