Dr. Beverley Jacobs

Dr. Beverley Jacobs, CM (Member of the Order of Canada), LLB (1994, University of Windsor), LLM (2000, University of Calgary), PhD (2018, University of Calgary) is a member of the Bear Clan, Mohawk Nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

Dr. Jacobs is Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Academic) at the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor, and she practices law part-time in her home community of Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.

She is also a consultant/researcher/writer/public speaker.

Her work centers around ending gendered colonial violence against Indigenous people and restoring Indigenous laws, beliefs, values, and traditions.
