Session to educate prospective students about financial aid options

A session Wednesday on campus will help prospective students gain an understanding of “Financing your University Education.”

Hosted by the offices of Student Awards and Financial Aid and Student Recruitment, the event runs 7 to 9 p.m. February 19 in room 100, Toldo Health Education Centre.

Marian Doll, director of student awards and financial aid, says she is really looking forward to it.

“It will give students and their parents an opportunity to hear about financial aid opportunities that currently exist that support post-secondary studies and more importantly, to ask questions that are specific to their situation,” she says.

“All too often, we see students applying late or missing important deadlines and therefore missing out on financial aid opportunities that could have provided them with that little extra financial support.”

She adds that student decisions to remain in school are often dependent on the level of financial support that they receive. Find more information, including an online registration form, on the event website.
