Organizers of a conference June 10 and 11 at the University of Windsor are seeking proposals that will create a dialogue on international education under the broad theme of “Building Bridges in Uncertain Times: the Role of International Education.”
The Ontario regional meeting of the Canadian Bureau for International Education promises networking and professional development activities for about 200 delegates from more than 35 post-secondary institutions.
“Regional meetings are excellent opportunities for staff to undertake professional development at a relatively low cost,” says conference chair Chris Busch, UWindsor acting associate vice-president, enrolment management.
Registration will become available shortly, but until then, he encourages local faculty and staff to consider presenting, leading a panel discussion, or delivering a workshop.
“Presenting helps showcase and strengthen your skills as a leader in international education,” he says. “Consider submitting a proposal to share your knowledge and expertise on a topic related to issues, opportunities, effective practice, and trends impacting international education in Ontario.”
Proposals are due by April 1. Find additional information on the conference website.
