A noontime lecture Friday in the Human Kinetics Building will consider environmental sustainability in relationship to sport facility and event management.

Professor Cheryl Mallen of Brock University will deliver “Community Grass-Based Sport Facilities and Climate Change — the Way Forward?” at noon November 25 in room 144.

An associate professor of sport management in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, Dr. Mallen focuses her research on sport facility management and sport event management, along with environmental sustainability performance. A pivotal element of her work is the development of a framework for debating the future of environmental sustainability in sport.
