Bachelor of Arts (Honours or General) in Liberal Arts and Professional Studies

Liberal arts and professional education combine theory with application. Together, they are stepping stones to a career in a wide range of social service, business, or government organizations. Graduates know how to analyze personal or work-related issues, evaluate alternative courses of action, and implement effective solutions.

Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (General)

  • Three year program
  • Can be completed part-time
  • Your choice if you are currently employed and seeking a degree for career advancement
  • Your choice if you have been required to withdraw from your current program and wish to earn a degree
  • Combines courses from social science, business, humanities, arts, science, with the option to explore other faculties
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate a student’s busy life
  • Students can move between part-time and full-time studies
  • Increased access to online courses

Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (Honours)

  • Four year program
  • Your choice if you wish to continue your education in law, human services, business, or teacher education
  • Combines courses from social science, business, humanities, arts and science, with the option to explore other faculties
  • Students can complete a minor or a certificate
  • Create a unique honours degree
  • Graduates can continue their studies by applying to graduate school, law, education or an MBA program
  • Recommended overall average of 75% or higher

Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (Aeronautics Leadership)

  • Four year program
  • Your choice if you wish to obtain a professional pilots license
  • Offered in collaboration with Journey Air located at Windsor Airport

Students select courses from a wide range of liberal arts subject-areas.

  • Social sciences such as psychology, history, sociology, economics, or women’s and gender studies
  • Arts and humanities such as English, philosophy, or modern languages
  • Natural sciences such as biology, chemistry, or environmental science

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum admission average of 70%
  • Mean admission average of 80%
  • ENG4U required
  • Students may choose to double major in any BA Honours program
