University of Windsor students will have extra incentive to kick the habit. Registration is open this week for Leave the Pack Behind, a contest to discourage tobacco use, open to student smokers and non-smokers alike.

Denise Brockmann, a cafeteria cashier who died January 15, is remembered as someone good to work with, says Mark Bagley, manager of satellite operations.
“She was a good worker and very, very pleasant to be around,” he said. “She will be missed by her friends and co-workers here. Our condolences from all food services staff go out to her family.”
Campus flags will be lowered Wednesday, January 18, in memory of retiree Edward Nantais, who died January 14.
Nantais started working for the University of Windsor in 1969 as a clerk in the University Bookstore and in 1971 transferred to a clerkship in the Distribution Services Department, a position from which he retired in 2005.

Facility Services advises that Chrysler Hall North will have no water from 8 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, due to emergency repairs. Drinking fountains and washrooms in the building will be closed during this time.
The Centre for Career Education is holding a workshop on Friday that will give students tools and tips to be successful at the January 24 job fair, “A Partnership to the Future.”

Blackboard Collaborate provides the campus with free access to virtual classroom and webconferencing facilities.
