Board approves student fees for 2012/13 school year

Increases to the University’s tuition fees follow the provincial framework and reflect government plans to support affordability and accessibility, the Board of Governors was told Tuesday before approving the recommendation of its Resource Allocation Committee for increases in domestic tuition of 4 to 8 per cent, depending on the program.

The fee structure will allow the administration to prepare a balanced budget for consideration by the board in May, says Mark Charlton, executive director of finance.

Lucky staffers celebrating United Way donation

Several UWindsor employees are extra-happy to have contributed to the campus campaign for United Way, after winning prizes in a draw reserved for donors.

Sport therapist David Stoute received one year’s free on-campus parking, and Ryan Kenney of finance as well as the Leddy Library’s Kirsti Stipanicic and Michael Houlahan each won an extra vacation day.

The 2011 campus effort raised $112,000 for the United Way.
