Brian MacPhersonI am a sessional lecturer cross-appointed in Arts and Science and in Philosophy here at the University of Windsor. For Philosophy, I teach a variety of courses including ethics, symbolic logic, reasoning skills, philosophy of mind, and medical ethics. For the Interdisciplinary Arts and Science program, I teach Science, Ethics and Social Policy as well as Modes and Methods of Inquiry. I am also training to be a biologist as a part-time graduate student in Biological Sciences.

 Research

I have a diverse range of research interests in both arts and science. I have had a paper on reasoning in medicine accepted for the ISSA conference in Amsterdam this summer (2014), and I am second author on an article on species extinction to be published in an upcoming volume of Ecological Informatics. In the past, I have also published on formal logic and philosophy of language.
