Convocation is a time of celebration. It is the culmination of our students' University of Windsor experience and the celebration of their academic success.
Over the years, many University of Windsor staff have volunteered their time to make the event memorable for our graduates, their families and friends. By welcoming graduates and their guests, directing them to their seats and answering questions, staff have contributed to making the convocation ceremony a truly special occasion. Participation in this event has also provided staff with an opportunity to feel connected to the mission of the University.
All University employees, directly or indirectly, support our students throughout their University career but until now, not everyone has had the opportunity to experience this joyous occasion. As a result, the Department of Human Resources in partnership with the Registrar is pleased to introduce the “Volunteer at Convocation“ initiative. This initiative has been developed to provide all staff with an opportunity to experience our reason for being, to feel connected and valued. We believe that this initiative will also contribute to fostering a more positive work environment for our employees.
