President’s message outlines changes

The 2013/14 Strategic Priority Fund will consider applications for new academic appointments for the first time, UWindsor president Alan Wildeman announced Thursday in an e-mail update to faculty and staff.

The change was made in response to growth in undergraduate enrolment and a desire to increase capacity for graduate enrolment.

“Requests can be made for regular full-time tenure-track, for limited term appointments, or for sessional positions,” Dr. Wildeman wrote.

He added that the evaluation will be based in part on opportunities to build on initiatives supported by previous investments from the fund that may create longer-term opportunities that support the University’s strategic plan.

His message also provided an update on enrolment—which increased over projections—and summarized realignment targets for the 2013/14 budget. Read the entire document on the President’s Web site.
