Bathing in sound holds promise of calm

The student centre is hosting two sessions of a “sound bath healing experience” in the Alumni Auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 16.

“A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience that uses sound to invite therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body,” says Sandra Riccio-Muglia, director of events for the student centre.

The event is open to students, faculty, and staff, who may choose to attend either 40-minute session, which begin at 1 and 6:30 p.m.

No pre-registration is required, Riccio-Muglia says: “We will have a limited amount of yoga mats for you, just dress cozy and be ready to immersive yourself in the sounds of calm.”
