Job fair highlights opportunities for business students

More than 250 business students had the opportunity to meet employers from 14 different organizations at the 2024 Odette Job Fair, held in the Odette Building on March 6.

Hosted by career advisors from the Odette Student Success Centre, undergraduate and graduate students explored potential business career opportunities in a variety of industries, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, local government, greenhouse farming, and more.

Odette career advisor Clementa Stan said the fair provided a platform for employers to match their talent needs with qualified students.

“The Odette Job Fair gave students the opportunity to learn more about open positions and have that one-on-one conversation with organizations of interest,” Stan said.

Phil Baluyot, manager of student success and career services for the business school, said students at all levels of study had options, with full-time, part-time, and summer employment positions offered.

“We welcome any occasion to showcase the quality and job-readiness of Odette students to employers,” he said.
