DailyNews to publish as required

Publication of DailyNews, the University of Windsor e-newsletter, may become irregular during the move to essential-services-only in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The public affairs staff remains dedicated to keeping the campus community informed and will produce and distribute DailyNews as warranted.

Editor Kevin Johnson invites readers and contributors to send story ideas and suggestions to UofWnews@uwindsor.ca.

DailyNews to reduce publication schedule for summer

DailyNews will begin its summer publishing schedule next week, moving to three issues a week. The University of Windsor’s e-newsletter will publish Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays until it resumes daily publication September 4.

Editor Kevin Johnson asks contributors to keep the reduced frequency of publication in mind as they schedule submissions: “Please try to give us more than a day’s notice if you’re promoting an event.”

He welcomes all story ideas and suggestions at UofWnews@uwindsor.ca.

DailyNews to stick to daily publication through next week

In contrast to previous practice, DailyNews will publish each weekday through December 21, as well as January 2, 3 and 4 in the new year.

“Some of those editions might be pretty short, given people’s schedules,” says editor Kevin Johnson. “However, we are trying to provide the best possible service and hope that retaining daily publication will make it easier for readers to get the information they need.”
