Cassandra Well, is a Toronto-based researcher, writer, and running coach who is currently finishing her PhD project, which is a scientific and technological history of sex testing in women’s Olympic-style sport. Her previous scholarly projects have investigated topics such as the gendered dimensions of sport concussion, the experiences of Canadian student-athletes with athletic scholarships, and the changing meanings of ‘fairness’ in sport eligibility policies. Sandy currently teaches a course on the Cultural History of Sport in Canada at Brock University.
