Auditory Neurophysiology

We conduct neurophysiological and neuropharmacological studies to:

  • Reveal how sounds are encoded in responses of single auditory neurons as well as populations of neurons;
  • Find how neurotransmitter receptors, membrane ion channels, and specific neural connections contribute to auditory processing.
