Interruption in service
Due to a staffing transition, the Writing Support Desk services is temporarily unable to offer one-on-one consultations.
Please note that Writing Support hosts numerous self-serve resources on topics including grammar, citing and referencing, and essay construction on our Brightspace organization page.
Writing Support also hosts video tutorials on many writing topics that can be found on both our website and on Brightspace.
Please check back in future semesters for the return of normal operations.
Best,
Writing Support Team

About the Writing Support Desk
Writing Support is a service that provides students with help regarding various aspects of their academic writing, including
- interpreting assignment prompts
- constructing strong theses and arguments
- grammar, punctuation, and syntax problems
- analyzing and integrating sources
- citing and referencing
Students should note that the Writing Support is not a proofreading service. Though we will examine as much of a sample of writing as we can in the space of a one-on-one consultation, our goal is to teach students how to improve their writing, not to edit the work.
In addition, the Writing Support does not provide feedback on AI-generated content.
Students should email their work in advance of their appointments to writingsupport@uwindsor.ca (.docx or .doc formats only please).
If you require accommodations for a disability, please contact the Writing Support Desk at writingsupport@uwindsor.ca.
