Lancer teams ready for the playoffs

Three varsity squads will open their post-season campaigns this week, while the men’s and women’s basketball teams will close out their regular seasons Saturday at the St. Denis Centre.

The men’s hockey team will host the York Lions at Windsor Arena on Thursday, February 16, in the first of a three-game Ontario University Athletics quarter-final series. The women’s hockey team will play Thursday at Guelph to open their three-game quarter-final series, and returns home for game two on Saturday, February 18. The men’s volleyball team finished with an 11-7 record, good for fourth place in the OUA and the right to open the post-season at home. The squad will face the Waterloo Warriors in quarter-final action on Saturday, February 18, in the St. Denis fieldhouse. General admission to any of these playoff games is $8, $5 for youth and seniors, and $2 for UWindsor students with ID.

The women’s and men’s basketball teams will close out their regular seasons on Saturday with games against the Western Mustangs. The women tip off at 2 p.m. and the men at 4 p.m., both at the St. Denis Centre. UWindsor students get in free with ID.
