UWindsor student ropes national skipping championship

UWindsor student Shelby Toews is the 2012 Canadian Rope Skipping champion.

A University of Windsor environmental studies major took top honours last month at the Canadian Rope Skipping Championships in Moncton. Not only did Shelby Toews win the overall title in her age group, the 20-year-old bested all the competition, scoring 398 points out of a possible 400.

Now Shelby Toews is preparing for the 2012 World Championships in August in Tampa Bay, Florida.
