Great Beginnings Child-Centred Co-operative is a non-profit organization which has partnered with the University of Windsor to offer its students, faculty, and staff flexible childcare choices adjacent to campus.
It operates a pre-school program designed to provide positive learning experiences to children—16 months to 6 years old—at its 820 California Avenue location.
Staffed by qualified Early Childhood Educators, the program involves teaching methods and play techniques to promote children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. The daily routine consists of a balance between indoor and outdoor play, large and small group activities, rest period, snacks and meals.
The centre, licensed by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children's Services, also administers home-based childcare services for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
Fee assistance is availble to qualified families.
