Workshop and Interview

Students applying to the Drama in Education and Community or Concurrent BA Drama/BEd program are required to register in writing and successfully participate in a workshop and interview.

Application Process

Applicants to the Drama in Education and Community and the Concurrent BA Drama/BEd program must apply to the University of Windsor, usually through the Ontario Universities Application Centre. Drama in Education and Community must be specified as one of your program choices.

Applicants must then complete the Interactive Interview Registration Form for Drama in Education and Community. Specific instructions on other requirements, such as personal references and an interview fee, are included on the form.

Free Drama Workshop

In preparation for your workshop and interview, the School of Dramatic Art offers a FREE Drama in Education & Community/Concurrent BA Drama/BEd and BA Drama Workshop in November, designed to help you prepare for the Spring entrance interviews. 

The Drama in Education & Community/Concurrent BA Drama/BEd and BA Drama Workshop will be held in:

Windsor on Sunday, November 25, 2018, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the University of Windsor - Jackman Dramatic Centre
Toronto on Saturday, December 1, 2018, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Toronto Operetta (Edward Jackman Centre), 947 Queen St., E., Toronto

Workshop and Interview

No preparation is required for this day of creative exploration. Come prepared to work as a member of an ensemble, playing theatre games, exploring creative drama, and discussing your career dreams and aspirations with the workshop leaders.

For students wishing to enter the program in September 2019, the Workshop/Interview dates are as follows:

Windsor: Sunday, April 7, 2019
Toronto:  Saturday, March 30, 2019, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Tarragon Theatre (Far Studio)
