Dr. Josée Jarry is an associate professor in the Adult Clinical programme of the University of Windsor.

She did her MA at the University of Montréal in Counselling and Psychotherapy and her PhD at the University of Toronto, downtown campus, where she studied Experimental Psychopathology, Eating Behaviour.

She supervises the Studies in the Psychology of Appearance (SPA) lab. She and her students conduct experimental and survey research on factors affecting people’s experience of their appearance.

Of particular interest is the impact of interpersonal and social factors on the importance of appearance for the self and on body satisfaction. She also conducts psychotherapy outcome and process research focussed on the Core Conflictual Relationship Theme (CCRT) - based therapy.

Dr Jarry is fluent in English and French (her first language) and is a passionate Ashtanga and Sattva yoga practitioner.
