The Odette School of Business in partnership with Dr. Richard Peddie is launching a fall case competition between the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business and St. Clair College’s Zekelman School of Business.
The Challenge: Develop and present innovative business strategies that will enhance the profitability and appearance of the Downtown Espresso Café in Amherstburg, Ontario, making it a more inviting place for the community and beyond!
Competition Details: The competition will consist of six teams in total from both academic institutions. Three teams will be selected through an internal competition from the Odette School of Business to compete in the final competition. These top three teams will each be awarded $1,000.
The final competition winning team will be awarded $5,000 through the Richard Peddie Leadership Initiative.
- Formulate a team of 3-5 people
- Competing teams will be limited to a 20-minute presentation with a 10-minute question and answer session. Students will also be required to submit a 3 to 5 page final report. All final presentations must be in PowerPoint format. A copy of the presentation and report will need to be forwarded to Barb Barone two days in advance of the competitions.
- Students will be required to participate in an internal competition that will take place two-weeks before the final competition date
- Further details regarding the challenge will be forwarded to students once their teams are submitted
