Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) Presentation & Lunch

The Odette School of Business is proud to welcome Carol Paradine, FCPA, FCA, CEO of the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, to discuss CPAB's role as a regulator in addition to emerging auditing and accounting issues including:

  1. Technology & the impact of AI on the profession
  2. Challenges with crypto and digital currency
  3. Use of technology in the auditing process to detect fraud and financial manipulation
  4. Best practices - Interfacing with Audit Committees

 

Carol will present from 11:30-12:30am, followed by a lunch and networking/Q&A session from 12:30-1:30pm.  You do not have to attend both the presentation and lunch sessions in order to register - please attend one or both based on your availability.  *While these sessions will be of particular interest to Accounting & Finance students, they are open to students from all specializations and areas of interest.
