College Chaplaincy

The Canterbury College (Anglican) Chaplaincy serves a diverse, multi-faith, multi-cultural community, creating space for mutual respect and open dialogue as equals, and helping students and staff to grow in a life of compassion, justice, and prayer, in keeping with the College's mandate as "a community educating mind, body, and spirit."

Your Chaplain

Cynthia Connell

You will find me at Canterbury, on campus or, in the office at the CAW Center. My door is always open to talk, pray, enjoy a coffee or tea and provide a quiet space. In my ministry I provide spiritual and emotional support to students, staff and faculty. I am blessed to have connections with all of the Anglican parishes in the Deanery of Essex, so if you need practical items like a winter coat, hat and mittens or a toothbrush, perhaps a few canned goods to tide you over till shopping day, please reach out and I will support how ever I can. We have a beautiful Chapel, and it is available if you need a quiet space or somewhere to pray. One of my favorite things about campus ministry is feeding students so you will always find treats or meals at bible studies, prayer groups or events.
