Two senior students will share their placement experiences in a free public presentation called Music Therapy Wintersong, on Thursday, December 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Katzman Lounge, Vanier Hall.

Janet Davidson (BScN 1971, LLD 2009), president of Trillium Health Centre, received the Alumni Association's highest honour at its Annual General Meeting and Award Presentations Wednesday night. The Alumni Award of Merit is presented to a graduate for distinguished accomplishments which have brought honour to the University.
Lancer golfer Meaghan Pototschnik capped off a terrific 2011 campaign by capturing the Ontario University Athletics women’s golf individual championship on Tuesday in Kingston.
Sitting five shots off the lead heading into the final round, Pototschik fired a blistering 77 on Wednesday to win the individual provincial title. Her two-day total of 159 at Kingston’s Loyalist Country Club put the nursing student two shots ahead of Christine Fraser and Jane Tang.
Nursing professor Maher El-Masri will discuss his research on a new cancer screening program for First Nations and Metis people in the region when he appears on CJAM 99.1 FM this afternoon.

The experience of patients and their families is often the missing ingredient to improve patient safety, says Deborah Prowse. Her mother’s tragic death in 2004 led her to become an advocate for providers to work with patients to make healthcare safer.
In an address to a one-day conference at the University of Windsor on Saturday, September 24, Prowse will discuss her personal journey from harm to healing.
