Phishing Alert: Protect Your UWindsor Account

Fri, 11/21/2025 - 10:20
IT Services is seeing a surge in phishing attempts targeting University of Windsor accounts through emails, texts, calls, and voicemails. These messages often look legitimate and may use subject lines like “Apply Here,” “View Document,” or “Verify Your Windsor Account” to trick you into clicking links or sharing login details.

Stay Safe:

  • Never click suspicious links or share credentials.
  • Do not disclose Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) codes.
  • Report phishing in MS Outlook or forward to spam@uwindsor.ca.
  • If you clicked a link or entered credentials, call 519-253-3000 ext. 4440 immediately.

We are actively monitoring these incidents and taking steps to block malicious senders and restore affected accounts. Your caution plays a critical role in maintaining campus cybersecurity.
