MBA students raise over $4,700 in honour of former program secretary

On July 28, MBA students Mikayla Paesano and Kris Mastronardi from the Odette School of Business presented a donation for $4,710 to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.

The funds were raised through the MBA student society’s annual Steps for Sue walk-a-thon in honour of Sue Skrobiak, long-time secretary for the program who died in November 2018.

Also in attendance at the cheque presentation were members of Skrobiak’s family, including her husband, John Skrobiak, her daughters Melissa Skrobiak and Amie Mandal, and her son-in-law Bijan Mandal.

John Skrobiak expressed his thanks for the Hospice and all those that made Steps for Sue a successful event.

“Hospice and all the persons involved are truly a blessing and so appreciated,” he said. “Sue is definitely smiling down on all of you.”
