Nursing students to demonstrate dangers of hearing loss

According to fourth-year nursing students Kelsi Mayne and Mia Milivojevic, environmental noise levels can mean a case of hear today, gone tomorrow, for our ears.

The two invite the campus community to a brown-bag conference on noise-induced hearing loss, Thursday, November 3, from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. in the CAW Student Centre’s second-floor boardroom.

Attendees will learn what to do to preserve their hearing and will receive a free pair of earplugs. The students will demonstrate environmental noise levels, and even test the volume settings on your iPod, mp3 player, or other digital music devices.
