Afrofest, the cultural celebration of the African diaspora, continues today with activities on the theme “Day of Education” in the CAW Student Centre Commons.

The schedule for Thursday, February 4, includes:

• a presentation on research into the history of black athletes in Essex-Kent at 2 p.m.
• a panel discussion on issues surrounding the black male experience at 4 p.m.
• a workshop on proper conduct during an encounter with police at 6 p.m.
• sharing of personal reflections on growing up black at 7:30 p.m.
• a Black Lives Matter candle light vigil at 9 p.m.
